What exactly is an Occupational Therapist?
Our Occupational Therapists (OTs) help people of all ages to improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. They work with individuals who have conditions that are mentally, physically, developmentally, socially or emotionally limiting. They also help them to develop, recover, or maintain daily living, work and play skills.
At Innovative Therapy 4-Kids, Inc. our Occupational Therapists help kiddos of all ages improve basic motor functions, sensory processing and integration, and reasoning abilities. Their goal is to help clients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives.
Why would your child need Occupational Therapy?
- Is your child extra sensitive to sight, sound or touch?
- Does he or she fear movement or crave it all the time?
- Does he or she consistently use a dominant hand for utensils or tools?
- Does your child seem to have weakness that impacts his or her fine motor skills like writing, coloring, buttoning, zipping?
- Does your child have difficulty feeding themselves with utensils or does your child have a limited diet?
If YES, your child may need Occupational Therapy.
