We are an outpatient, therapist-owned multidisciplinary clinic in Carlsbad, CA seeking a motivated, innovative, and flexible PT for 3 to 4 days of work with opportunity to grow a caseload.
Our multidisciplinary practice focuses on high quality, individualized treatment plans with one-on-one care in an innovative and fun environment. Our model of care is searching for a physical therapist to establish an understanding for all treating disciplines and facilitate a care treatment plan to incorporate multiple factors into each session. Requirements for position are 1+ years of experience, with the potential of a new graduate. They must be innovative, have knowledge of orthopedic and manual skills, neuro-reeducation, and understand the principals of using multiple modalities. Patient population includes all ages ranging from pediatric population/middle and high school students to active older adults. Ideal candidates will have strong abilities in the above with interest or experience with high level patients, athletes, being part of an educational team and have an interest in advanced certifications. Job Summary:
- Plan and carry out a physical therapy program to meet the needs of the patient and our team.
- Provide parent education and possible parent training so families and parents can effectively carry over and generalize skills into their home environment.
Must have experience in the following:
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Skills
- Current First Aid and CPR, including infants and young children
- Proficient in the English language
- Proficient verbal and written skills
- Must pass a criminal history background check
Experience:
- Pediatric: 1 year (Preferred)
- Physical Therapy: 1 year (Preferred)
License:
- Physical Therapy License (Required)
Job Duties:
- Evaluating a patient’s functional status
- Establishing treatment goals
- Planning treatment
- Implementing the plan of care through direct treatment
- Coordinating treatment with other health care personnel
- Providing instruction and education to patient, family, and caregivers
- Evaluating the need for interdisciplinary referral
- Participating in multidisciplinary patient care conferences
- Providing accurate, timely documentation of treatment
- Participating in appropriate, approved educational and clinical research activities
